Uncle Hunter is deployed to Iraq...

We went to dinner to give Hunter LOVE before he goes......

Converse...

Loren's little Brother Hunter just found out that he is being deployed in within the next 10 days to Iraq, he is in the Air Force and is one of six Fire Fighters from Luke going. It's scary to think of the things that could happen, but we realize that it's important work and necessary. Hunter and his wife Jackie just had their first Baby; Kylie, she is just 3 months old.

I can't believe he is already a Father, and now he is serving his Country. I first met Hunter when Loren and I were dating he was only 3 years old, he and his identical twin Brother Dillon were quite the pair, they would spend time with us in the summers. Hunter was always a sweet heart, and still is, he's also a great Daddy.

We are So proud of you Hunter, and we will be keeping you our prayers so you can get back home safely to your little Family.

Great news..

Barton, is back! In NYC getting the care he needs. He has actually been back a couple of days now, but he needed some time. Yesterday he called me (with the help of Daren and Aunt Carla), It was such a relief to hear his voice again, he expressed how HAPPY he was to be back in the States, and how he was staying positive about everything that is happening, I even made him laugh a little, which was wonderful to hear. He is overwhelmed at the people praying for him, and wishing him well...Those prayers are working! so THANK YOU from Me, Barton and his Family.
He had a surgery on his arm yesterday, and is having another on his leg tomorrow. He has a long road ahead but is looking forward to getting back to his work..AWESOME.

Barton...

I know that all of my recent posts have been about this guy, I just don't know what else I can do, except get the word out about his work, and see if anyone can help(I have been writing to people who might be able to) ...The latest news is; he is still stuck in Africa, but his fever is coming down. His Mom and Brother are with him, trying to find a way to transport him to the States, his injuries are making that difficult, but everyone is agreement that he needs to get back here in order to recover. prayers are definitely helping, thanks for that!

New news...

You need to "click" on this pic to see it all.

This is between the first and second Hospital, some of his many friends helping.

A little good news that is... I just got a message from Daren, Barton's wonderful Brother, he and my Aunt Carla got to Africa safely, and are with him now. He said they had a tearful reunion and that they are working as fast as possible to get him to the State's (he will not be able to heal there, the things are) hopefully by Sunday! That would be great....
This morning one of his nurses brought in a computer, and Barton sent me a message, he says he is OK, but wants to get back here, and is very touched by all of the support. I wish I had a way to see him in NYC when he gets there, at least he will finally have the care he needs. Hooray, I don't want to celebrate prematurely, but this is good news.

Update on Barton...

Here is the BLOG of an American nurse who was there the first day for Barton..A great Lady.

This is one of my favorite Model pictures of him... Gorgeous and Generous...

He is not out of the woods yet, his injuries are traumatic, and causing him a great deal of pain; his left leg has a severed shin muscle, femur bone is broken in half, with a deep open wound on the back of his leg. His right shoulder bone is fractured, his wrist and elbow are both broken on left arm, he has head lacerations and a fever as well. He is on antibiotics, and pain meds, but is still in a lot of pain, he just wants to get back home. He has been told about all the support and prayers on his behalf, and is very grateful. He had medivac insurance, but it expired last month, it is VERY expensive to pay for, and if you know anything about this amazing guy then you know that every penny he has, goes to the people he is helping. His Brother is trying to get there in the next few days, and will accompany him to New York, hopefully by the 26th, where a great Trauma Surgeon ( Chief of Trauma) awaits his arrival. He just needs to get rid of that fever... Prayers PLEASE.

I will keep you posted.
