Barton Brooks a beautiful person inside and out...

I have written posts about Barton before, but it was to recognize the selfless work that he does, this time it is for the Man himself... He was in a motorcycle accident in Uganda 2 days ago, he suffered a badly broken arm and leg, and other head contusions, they think he is going to be ok, although it is sketchy because of where he is. He already had 1 surgery and he will have 2 more today, he has been airlifted to a better hospital, and Surgeon. So please keep him in your prayers, so he can recover quickly and get back to his important work with Global Colors, the organization that he started. Barton is my family, but more importantly he is my dear friend he loves me, and tells me that every time I talk to him. When we were kids I would share secrets with him and he always listened to my stuff, he has a huge heart and is trying to do his part to make the world a better place... It's that time of the year again.. When girls play dress up.

So Long Fancy Nancy....

Well it looks like the time has finally come, our good friends are moving to Northern Utah... I just wanted Nancy to know how much I will miss her and how lucky I feel to have had this time to become friends with her and her Family.. Porter will sorely miss his Buddy Dallas! They love each other, they have been a great team on the Soccer field and in the living room playing video games, and all things "little boy".

Nancy has a very "Martha" way of doing things, she's a great baker, and seamstress, not to mention her Jewelery creating abilities. Nanc you are a Beautiful girl inside and out! You are one of the most thoughtful people I know, I will miss you. Thank goodness for modern technology, for we will always have the blog, and I'm sure we will see each other at least once a year. Thank you for everything you've taught me, I love you....

Our Brown Eyed Girl....

Brookie, our 1 and only brown eyed girl, was STUDENT of the MONTH! Hooray, she was very happy for herself and we were not surprised in the least, she is soo smart! Her Teacher went on about how helpful she is in class, and how kind she is to everyone, and she told me that she stays out of all the "girl drama" (didn't realize there was drama in 2nd grade) never the less she avoids anything negative at school! Ms. B said she is a JOY to have around, which is highly appropriate; Joy is her middle name...So Way to go girl, our beautiful brown eyed smarty pants, we love you!

"Lucky" in LOVE....

Twenty years ago, this Valentines Day, was the first time I laid eyes on Loren, or atleast I thought it was.... I was a junior in High School, and the Captain of the Cheer Squad, he was a Freshman in College and had come to watch his Cousin Ty play in a Varsity Basket-ball game... This is what I saw; He was super Hot, 6 feet tall, lots of muscles, and Bon Jovi style hair that came down between his well defined shoulders, he was gorgeous, and had a great smile. I couldn't really concentrate on the game that night, I just kept thinking that I hoped he would stay for the Dance after... After the game, (i have no idea whether we won or lost) Ty introduced us, and I knew that he thought I was cute. Of course he didn't stay for the dance , he was to OLD for that, although he had all the girls hoping he would, and he knew it. Anyway we didn't get together that night, but soon we realized how Lucky we were to have found each other. I couldn't have picked a better Father for our Children, and he has always told me that I was Beautiful through thick and thin, even when It was very thick. So in honor of our Lucky blessings, I dedicate this song to you Lo; "LUCKY" by Jason Mraz, and Kolbie Calait... Let's pretend we're surf bums just chillin on some Beach together. I'm so Happy that I'm your Best Friend! Happy Valentines Babe. I still think you're super HOT!***** By the way we later learned that we had known eachother as little kids, and our Mom's; who were both already gone, had sang together in the Church choir....

O Boy!

Our Boy sure has had a hard time with his teeth! He gets so angry when he can't eat something because he no longer has Molars.... And now he is starting to loose his front teeth, are we gonna have the first little boy with Dentures? He even has our very excellent Dentist perplexed, there is no decay, his roots just desolved, has anyone ever heard of this? I am worried about his future with food. He has the goofiest smile right now, he was trying to eat a conversation heart today, and it was soo sad, I asked him how in the world he was gonna chew that?, and he said; "with my TOOTH!" Man when this kid gets his "big boy" teeth he is going to be so Handsome!
